Urian "Xavier" Smith
An activist. A mentor. A leader. A guide. A multilingual educator. An advocate. Urian finds himself involved in so many activities that it is difficult to exact a career title for him. His first love is for learning foreign languages. He is fluent in 5, well 6 including English, and is currently learning Greek and Japanese, simultaneously. With learning languages came a passion for experiencing different cultures. After exposure to various cultures and countries, Urian began finding ways to connect everyone and everything he learned around him.
Full time High School Teacher in Brooklyn, NY; Vice-President of Exquisite Consulting Group; Foreign Language Ambassador for I. Am. C.U.L.T.U.R.E.D., Inc.; Grant Administrator for NJOPC and holds a couple of other titles, as well. He chased diversity in his profile starting in high school. From the Model UN Club to Foreign Language Honor Society, he always sought ways to globalize his experiences. Advocacy and Volunteerism are extremely important pillars in his lifestyle.
Urian loves people, because they provide and learning opportunity. Among many, some of hobbies include listening to people tell stories, cooking, crocheting, amusement parks, and traveling. He also has a couple of things in his sight for his future. He is looking to pursue his EdD in Curriculum & Instructional Design, assist a few Non-Profit startups, and travel to Asia.
The common theme used is based on diversification and education. And he says, “The more we openly educate one another on our differences, the faster we can coexist in peace.”
