The Mennonites of Belize

The Mennonites in Belize form different religious bodies and come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, some of whom live traditional and conservative lifestyles, while others have modernized to various degrees. They are skilled in manufacturing household furniture and constructing houses as well as contributing to the carpentry, engineering and agricultural industries of Belize.

Our IAC Student Travelers had the opportunity to visit a Mennonite family to learn about their ways of living. Per the family’s wishes, photos of them were not allowed.
